Overview

The Collections Council championed the importance and value of the collections sector to governments and decision-makers.  The following proposals were advocated until the Council received news about the cessation of its funding.

Collections Snapshots
The Collections Council planned, from January 2009, to periodically gather information through a series of ‘Collections Snapshots’. One of the aims was to assemble colourful and interesting stories for a publicity campaign, to support our advocacy for the Australian collections sector. This Overview of a project that was not able to be launched is published in April 2010 so as to assist anyone who may be contemplating a similar survey project in the future.   more...
