The Collections Council is pleased to announce the publication of the Digital Standards Bibliography Version 3.0.
This bibliography was initially developed in preparation for the CCA’s Summit on Digital Collections in 2006, and was revised, updated and expanded throughout 2008. Comments were sought from the collections sector until early 2009, and our thanks go to our colleagues who contributed. Our thanks are also extended to consultant Claire McClelland, who has compiled and edited this bibliography.
The CCA is confident that the bibliography will prove a valuable resource for the sector. It directs the user to manuals and guidelines on issues including digital recordkeeping, preservation, accessibility, security, metadata, and copyright, among others. Continual improvement and expansion of the Bibliography and the Standards And Guidelines E-directory will help the collections sector embrace the potential of digital technologies in preserving and providing access to all kinds of collections.
