About SAGE

Standards And Guidelines: an E-directory (SAGE) has been developed and published by the Collections Council of Australia Ltd. The purpose of SAGE is to provide up-to-date and reliable information to assist collecting organisations identify standards and guidelines that meet their specific needs.

SAGE provides a list of relevant standards and guidelines and, where possible, evaluates the standard by providing comments on coverage, usability and relationship to other standards.

SAGE has been developed in conjunction with the Digital Standards Bibliography, Version 3.0, and all standards identified in the bibliography are also included in SAGE. The Bibliography is intended to provide a list of standards current at the time of publication, while SAGE is intended to provide an opportunity to update and maintain information about digital collection standards and guidelines as they change over time.
