Summit 2006 - Digital Collections

The Collections Council of Australia hosted a national Summit for the collections sector in August 2006, with the aim of developing a national policy and strategy for the development and maintenance of digital collections. In July 2007, an Australian Framework and Action Plan for Digital Heritage Collections was released for comment.

Review of Service Industries Surveys

The Collections Council is seeking your input to the current review of the Australian Bureau of Statistics' 'Service Industry Surveys' relevant to the Australian collections sector. The 'Public Libraries' and 'Museums' surveys will run again from August 2008 for the 2007-2008 reference year.
