Criteria for inclusion in the Collaborative Projects Showcase

The project must meet the following criteria to be included within the Collaborative Projects Showcase:

>>>   The project must include at least one Australian organisation.

>>>   The project must fall into one of the three following categories:

  1. Cross-domain collaboration: includes at least two organisations from different collecting domains (i.e. archives, galleries, libraries, museums).
  2. Significant intra-domain collaboration: includes all or most major players within single domain (e.g. Libraries Australia, Virtual Herbarium).
  3. Extra-domain collaboration: includes at least one organisation from within the collecting domains and organisation(s) from other sectors (e.g. industry, academic).

Please note: These categories exclude collaborations where collecting organisation(s) are a stakeholder and/or beneficiary but not actively involved in project management (e.g. government projects that benefit the collections sector but do not include collecting organisations as project partners).

>>>   The project should be completed. (Ongoing and long-running projects will be considered if key milestones have been achieved.)

>>>   The project should be suitably different from other projects within the Showcase so that it provides opportunities for new learning (i.e. the Showcase is not intended to be a comprehensive map of all collaborative projects within the sector).

>>>   The project should not solely involve the loan of items from one institution to another, as this is considered a very common collaborative activity within the collections-sector.
