First Announcement 7 March 2008
The Collections Council is currently developing a Collaborative Projects Showcase to promote projects run collaboratively by collecting organisations (such as archives, galleries, historical societies, Indigenous keeping places, libraries and museums) in Australia. The Showcase will inform and inspire people considering developing their own collaborative project. It will also provide an opportunity for organisations within the collections sector to share their experiences.

This website will host a test site for the Showcase. The Collections Council will call for case studies in coming months. We are particularly interested in collaborations between different types of collecting organisations (e.g. a gallery and an historical society; a museum and a library; etc). Please register your interest if you have a collaborative project you would like to promote or if you have any other comments or suggestions for the content of the Showcase. You can email us at projects@collectionscouncil.com.au.

Here are some examples of collaborative projects from across the globe:

Milton Keynes Inspire: A gateway to collections in libraries, museums, archives and art galleries in Milton Keynes

Mohawk Cultural and Historical Documents: Preservation and Access
