The Collections Council has invited a number of peak bodies (mostly NGOs) in the Australian collections sector to attend a Round Table meeting that will discuss current and emerging issues in the sector. Second Announcement 5 June 2008
The Round Table meeting was well attended by representatives of peak bodies in the collections sector. The National Gallery of Australia generously sponsored the use of its Small Theatre as the venue for the event, and their support is gratefully acknowledged. Third Announcement 8 July 2008
The Collections Council is pleased to make available its ‘Notes from the Discussion Sessions of the Round Table’ as reviewed by all participants. This summary document highlights the primary challenges and issues raised by the peak organisations present at the Round Table on 21 May 2008. It also suggests solutions and key next steps, in addition to emphasising the Collections Council’s role in assisting in the achievement of these future objectives.
