The Collections Council is delighted to announce that the Commonwealth government has provided funding for the production of a second edition of Significance - now known as Significance 2.0. It will be developed in both web and print publication formats, and will be available in December 2008.

The Collections Council has contracted previous authors Ms Kylie Winkworth and Ms Roslyn Russell to draft the new text, and welcomes Mr Ian Cook as an external advisor to the project. The Project Manager is Collections Council Development Officer Veronica Bullock.

The contract requires that 3,000 copies be printed. Most of these will be distributed free-of-charge to Australian collecting organisations. The Collections Council would welcome offers of assistance to extend the print run, to enable more Australian archives, galleries, libraries, museums, historical societies and keeping places to receive free copies.
